New, Dare and Abstract — collective exhibition of abstract painting at Artcor
From September 8 to 19, 2025, the creative hub Artcor (Chișinău) hosted the collective exhibition “New, Dare and Abstract”, organized by the platform Artists of Moldova.
The exhibition featured 12 works by seven contemporary artists united by their bold use of form, freedom of expression, and vibrant color energy. Among the participants was special guest Valentin Rusu, a member of the Union of Artists of Moldova and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of Ion Creangă State University. His works have been exhibited internationally and are part of private collections worldwide. Rusu is the recipient of the Art Sadova 2009 diploma and the Honorary Certificate of the Plai Natal International Art Festival.
Artist Aliona Barbei Tureac (A_B_T_ART) presented three abstract paintings — “Yellow Mode” and the diptych “Cadmium Red”, exploring the dynamics of inner motion and emotional balance.
“New, Dare and Abstract” became a meeting point between generations and a statement of the evolving directions within Moldova’s contemporary abstract art scene.
