Originally created in 2021 under the title Indigo, this work began as one of the first portals into my inner world — a presence of the feminine before definition. In 2025 I returned to it and renamed it “The Shadow”, as it became the only word that truly reflects what I now see and recognize in it.
This is not a portrait — it is the archetype of my ancient self.
A dark-skinned woman who has lived through harshness, exile, and internal wars. A thief of drip — a primal force that steals not objects, but power. She has been through trauma, but she is not broken: she reclaims her power not through aggression, but through presence.
Indigo / The Shadow is not about darkness — it is about the depth of the unspoken. About the moment before speech. About a gaze that holds knowledge before thought.
This painting became a turning point in my personal process: it accompanied my inner crises and transformations of 2024–2025 and now stands not as a memory — but as a witness of the darkness already integrated.
